Path Through History: Uniquely New York

Delaware County

Special | 7m 57s

The majestic overlooks are just one of the reasons to visit historic Delaware County.

Formed in 1797, Delaware County’s early development was driven by diary farming and lumber mills. Today, the steep hills and thick forests that once hindered settlement draw an ever-increasing number of tourists to the area. Visitors to Delaware County can explore the beautiful countryside by taking a scenic railway tour or by visiting the former home of one of the nations most famous naturalists.
