The county borders Seneca Lake, in the Finger Lakes region of New York State and became the birthplace of American street racing when the Watkins Glenn Grand Prix was first held in 1948. Today, visitors can explore the area’s rich automotive history, spend the day taking in the beauty of its many glens and waterfalls, or enjoy a relaxing cruise on the lake.
